Though iconised by a small minority, for many Trellick Tower is still seen as a drug den, an eyesore, social housing and dismissed as worthless to disappear into the background grime of West London.  Trellick is a gem of Brutalist architecture, it's reputation marred by years of neglect and its association with later, poor quality high-rise tower blocks of the 70s.  With refurbishment and a protective housing association the tower is returning to its former glory and should be rediscovered for the architectural masterpiece it is.

where I grew up that dealt with memory and familiarity.
As a child I would spend hours finding faces and other
familiar things embedded within the wallpaper patterns,
and I drew around a face to highlight my discovery.
The stuff that surrounds us is full of hidden gems waiting
to be drawn, photographed, framed and pointed out.
I love it when photography draws attention to the subtleties.
