Well Tate the Biscuit, has the making of a roaring success. This exhibition is displaying a huge collection of street artists, conceptual artists, installation artists, painters, graphic illustrators and photographers, who all come together under the roof of Shoreditch Town Hall to create interpretations of proverbs and phrases. The juxtaposed artwork covers more than 15,000 sq feet, where viewers can meander into room after another of art. Even the walls breathe an essence of their own creative making. One minute you are in a room full of glowing polystyrene pods the aliens have landed in Shoreditch! Next you could skip to divert into a room full of installation petals. Then breathe next to an Abstract painting propped up with shades of black. Or take yourself to a splash of colour to view a huge selection of street and urban art, and then ponder at the life size sculpture of a seven year old boy made with green fiberglass. Poking from the corner of one of the rooms you can see a strange doll with many arms. Turn a corner and you can see paintings of dripped images of famous celebrities, whereas other painters in the show have used abstract colours on MDF, there is even a painting of a send up of the Tate Modern itself East End style! Whoops! We missed a painted image of a monkey lounging on a sofa. In this show there is a huge display of a contemporary urban painting range which show chases the best of what is present today. You can also view a huge selection of prints such as a Panda in a bar, a Muslim bride, from the banal and everyday to high fashion. This show is an extraordinary roundabout which has many roads that lead you into an Aesthetic Urban Vision, the journey can't be missed!
